Born in 1979, Stormy was born in Louisiana. After graduating he worked as a switchboard operator in a riding school and, at the same time, began studying to become a journalist. At the age of 17, she and a stripper friend performed at the Gold Club in Baton Rouge. Due to her success, the owner signed her even though she was a minor. From there she undertook a career as a stripper with the stage name Stormy Daniels. For the name she soon took inspiration from the daughter of Nikki Sixx, bassist of Mötley Crüe, to whom she added the surname Daniels seeing a advertisement for Jack Daniel’s whiskey.
