Very cloudy skies in the North and Centre, in the South possible rain in the peninsular Apennine areas and in Sicily

NORTH

Very cloudy sky with scattered rain and isolated thunderstorms, more intense near the mountains. From the afternoon, precipitation will tend to become widespread across the Po Valley. In the evening, phenomena partially attenuated, with local clearing in Liguria and the hinterland of Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Snow on the Alpine mountains above 2000 metres.

CENTRE

Over the peninsular regions, extensive and consistent clouds rapidly increasing from the early hours of the morning with associated scattered showers and local thunderstorms. Precipitation absorbing from late afternoon/evening, also with strong clearings expected in Tuscany and inland Adriatic areas; in Sardinia there will be widespread cloudiness at times with light rain and some showers; a rapid improvement will follow characterized by clear evening clearings.

SOUTH

Medium-high coverage, wide but generally not very consistent, except for greater densifications associated with local rainfall and some brief showers expected in the peninsular Apennine areas. More compact clouds arriving in Sicily in the evening, with possible light rain in the western and southern areas at night.

TEMPERATURE

Low temperatures in the Alpine and pre-Alpine mountains; rising in central-southern regions and major islands; without significant changes in the rest of the north; maximums slightly rising on the coasts of lower Lazio, Campania, remaining southern Tyrrhenian and Sicilian areas, as well as on the Adriatic coastal areas of Puglia, Ionian areas of Calabria and central-southern Sicily; decreasing in the north, in Sardinia, Tuscany, Marche, Umbria, upper Lazio and Abruzzo; stationary in the remaining central-south.

VENTI

Up to Western moderates on Sardinia with further reinforcements on the Strait of Bonifacio; weak to locally moderate around the south-west over the central-southern peninsular regions; weak of variable direction in the north and on Sicily, except for southern reinforcements to the west of the island.
