NORTH

More locally intense rainfall until late morning in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. At times compact coverage with scattered showers or local thunderstorms evolving during the day in the rest of the north and again in the afternoon in the Friuli area; strong phenomena expected in the morning and afternoon in Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto and the Emilia-Romagna plain. Reduction of precipitation from the evening, except for local weak persistence close to the Alpine mountains and above all in the remaining Lombardy territory. Snow level on the central-western and South Tyrolean Alpine ridges, not below 2300/2400 metres

CENTRE

Extensive cloud cover accompanied by rain and local showers between night and early morning in upper Tuscany, Umbria and north-western Sardinia, subsequently rapidly extending during the day towards the other peninsular areas, especially on the Tyrrhenian side, and the rest of the island, with rain scattered and local thunderstorms, which in any case will end from late afternoon, leaving room for large clearings in Sardinia, Tuscany and central-southern Lazio, as well as in the coastal areas and in the immediate hinterland of Marche and Abruzzo

SOUTH

Substantial clouds with local and short associated showers expected in Campania, the Tyrrhenian sectors of Basilicata and Calabria, as well as in northern Sicily, improving from the evening hours in the relevant Sicilian areas; clear or slightly cloudy skies in the rest of the south and Sicily, except for local densifications which evolve during the day accompanied by occasional showers which in the central hours will affect the Molise mountains and those between Puglia and Basilicata

TEMPERATURE

Minimum values without variations in Liguria, stationary or decreasing in Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna and Sardinia; decreasing in the rest of the country; maximums increasing in the Lombardy mountains, Trentino-Alto Adige, the Venetian plain, central-eastern Emilia-Romagna, Umbria and northern Sicily; decreasing in the western Po Valley, remaining Emilia-Romagna territory, Puglia, northern Sardinia and locally between Lazio and Abruzzo; without significant changes on the rest of Italy

VENTI

Weak to locally moderate southern Liguria and from the western quadrants to the centre-south and the major islands, with further reinforcements until the evening in the Apennine areas of Emilia-Romagna, Marche and those of the southern ridge; weak variables over the rest of the north
