Very cloudy with associated thunderstorms expected during the night and in the morning in Piedmont and Lombardy, and isolated rain also in the tri-Veneto area; during the daytime showers and local showers will develop close to the reliefs in general, with involvement of the flat areas in the afternoon as well. From the evening it worsens in the north-west and in the Lombardy area and with the most widespread and intense rainfall which will affect northern Piedmont and central-western Lombardy. Snow level on the western Alpine mountains not below 2000/2200 metres.
Diurnal clouds over Marche and Abruzzo and the easternmost areas of Umbria and Lazio, with associated showers and thunderstorms, subsiding late afternoon/evening; over the rest of the center and over Sardinia, clear skies or characterized by the arrival of clouds, which will be thicker from the afternoon on the relevant peninsular areas, even with the risk of some isolated rainfall over Tuscany.
Extensive coverage over southern Puglia and Ionian areas with rain and local showers which will affect eastern Sicily and Calabria during the night and first part of the morning, but then thinning out later; ample sunshine in the rest of the south, but with imposing clouds that will develop during the daytime over Molise, Puglia and the Calabria-Lucania reliefs with the possibility of some brief and local associated showers. However, it improves in the evening with the absorption of precipitation, while scattered clouds will still affect a large part of the peninsular regions and the eastern portion of Sicily.
Minimum temperatures falling in Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, most of the tri-Veneto, Tuscany, Umbria, Marche, Lazio and northern Campania; rising in Salento Puglia, Calabria, Sicily and northern Sardinia; stationary on the remaining territory; maximums increasing in South Tyrol and central-western Sicily and northern Sardinia; decreasing on the western Alpine and pre-Alpine mountains and on the immediate hinterland coasts of the northern Adriatic regions; without significant changes in the rest of Italy.
Weak from the southern quadrants on the Alps and pre-Alps, major islands and central-southern peninsula with reinforcements on southern Puglia; weak easterlies on the Po Valley and variable on Liguria.
