ROME – Today’s weather forecast, edited by the Air Force.
Compact clouds over the Alps and pre-Alps with scattered rain starting from the early afternoon, while a partly cloudy sky is expected in the rest of the north. During the afternoon, isolated thunderstorms will affect the western and central Alps, as well as the Lombardy pre-Alps, while cloud cover will tend to become more compact over the rest of the north-west and the Apennines. In fact, from the evening onwards the most intense phenomena will extend to the piedmont areas of Piedmont and those of Lombardy, until they affect the upper Lombardy plain
Clear or at most cloudy skies over Sardinia; predominantly sunny day in the central regions, at most disturbed by the formation of compact concentrations in the Apennine areas in the hottest hours of the day with possible occasional showers. From the evening some more significant clouds will affect upper Tuscany
Sunny skies in the south and over Sicily, especially along the coasts and in adjacent areas. In fact, compact clouds will appear close to the mountains during the morning, bringing possible isolated showers in the afternoon to these areas
Minimum temperatures slightly rising in the Alps and Emilia-Romagna, stationary in the rest of the country; maximums increasing in the central and southern Adriatic regions, in Basilicata, Calabria, Sicily, Sardinia, Emilia-Romagna and lower Lombardy, without significant changes in the rest of Italy
Weak variables; local breezes along the Tyrrhenian and central Adriatic coasts during the hottest hours
