ROME – Bad weather does not loosen its grip on Italy, affected by two different disturbances in the space of a few days. The first disturbance system has been affecting many of our regions since yesterday and will persist until today, Thursday 24 October, with rain and locally intense thunderstorms.

A second disturbance will hit the country starting tomorrow, accompanied by a cyclonic vortex, and will be responsible for bad weather for much of the weekend. In particular, the vortex will be centered near Spain and will mainly involve our western regions, bringing abundant and persistent rainfall at least until the beginning of Sunday, especially in the North-West, Tuscany and Sardinia. In this context, the climate will remain unusually mild for the season.

TODAY’S WEATHER FORECAST

Mostly cloudy skies, but with some clearings in the South and Sicily. In the rest of Italy, more compact clouds and accompanied by rain in the North, Tuscany, Lazio, Umbria, Marche, Abruzzo Apennines and Sardinia. Possible locally intense phenomena and of a stormy nature especially along the coasts of Tuscany and Lazio. Temperatures without major variations with values between 17 and 23 degrees and peaks of 24-26 degrees in the southern regions. Winds mostly weak, except for reinforcements of Sirocco around Sardinia.
