North

Isolated rain or showers during the night and early morning in eastern Liguria, Lombardy, north-eastern regions and Emilia-Romagna; initially few clouds over the rest of the north but generally increasing during the morning with local showers or thunderstorms from the afternoon on the Alpine and pre-Alpine mountains, remaining areas of the north-eastern regions and Emilia-Romagna. Gradual improvement since the evening.

Centre

Local rain or showers between night and early morning on the peninsular regions with isolated showers or thunderstorms developing during the central hours also on Marche, Abruzzo, remaining Apennine areas and adjacent inland areas; improves in the evening with large clearings; mostly clear skies over Sardinia except for local thickening in the western and northern sectors.

South

Rain or showers during the night in Campania, Basilicata and Puglia and isolated showers and thunderstorms during the central hours in Molise and Puglia, especially in the central-northern sector, improving during the morning in Campania and Basilicata with increasingly clear spells; clear skies over Calabria and Sicily, except for weak clouds until mid-day and local low concentrations forming in the afternoon and evening on the relevant Tyrrhenian areas.

Temperatures

Minimum temperatures stationary or slightly decreasing in central regions, Sardinia, Molise, Puglia and western Sicily; rising in the Alps and pre-Alps; without significant changes in the rest of the country; decreasing maximums in Lombardy, tri-Veneto, Romagna, the Adriatic coasts of Puglia, lower Campania and the Tyrrhenian sectors of the southern regions; increasing in the western Alps, lower Piedmont, much of the centre, Ionian areas of Basilicata and Calabria and south-eastern Sicily.

Weak westerlies over the Po Valley, central-southern peninsular regions and major islands, rotating from the north over Sicily; weak southern over Liguria and of variable direction over the rest of the north.
