Waltz of the benches in Serie A: Thiago Motta at Juve and Alessandro Nesta at Monza officials

The Italian-Brazilian arrives in Juventus after the extraordinary season at Bologna, the former Milan defender finds Adriano Galliani again after the golden years in Rossoneri

ROME – It’s official. The next coach of Juventus will be Thiago Motta. The Italian-Brazilian coach has signed an agreement with Juventus until 30 June 2027. Forty-two years yet to be completed, Thiago Motta embarked on his coaching career in 2018, < strong>starting from the youth team of Paris Saint Germain, the team with which he had finished his playing adventure a few months earlier. In Italy he arrived on the bench of Genoa in 2019, to then coach Spezia and Bologna, the team in which he managed to make the most of his game ideas and with which he achieved a historic qualification for the Champions League. “I am really happy to begin a new experience at the helm of a great club like Juventus – declares Thiago Motta – I thank the owners and the management to whom I assure all my ambition to keep the Juventus colors high and make the fans happy”.

NESTA AL MONZA

Alessandro Nesta will be the new coach of the Monza First Team from July 1st, with an annual contract plus automatic renewal for another season upon reaching certain conditions. Born in Rome on 19 March 1976, he grew up in the youth team of Lazio of which he became captain and flag, winning 1 Scudetto as well as 2 Italian Cups, 2 Italian Super Cups, 1 Cup Winners’ Cup and 1 European Super Cup. On 31 August 2002 he made his historic move to Milan of Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani, where in ten years he confirmed himself as one of the strongest defenders in the world and won ten titles. An incredible cycle of triumphs with 2 Champions Leagues, 2 European Super Cups, 1 Club World Cup, 2 Scudetti, 2 Italian Super Cups and 1 Italian Cup. In his rich palmares as a footballer there is also the 2006 World Cup won with Italy, for which he boasts 78 appearances. His coaching career began in the summer of 2015 at Miami FC. After two years in the United States, he returned to Italy in May 2018 to coach Perugia in Serie B. In the summer of 2019 he started with Frosinone, which he led to the Serie B playoff final. His constant growth led him to the bench of < strong>Reggiana, where in the season just ended he led the newly promoted Emilian team to an excellent eleventh place in Serie B. At Monza he reunites withAdriano Galliani after ten years at Milan, for his first experience as a coach in Serie A.
