ROME – A 40-year-old was arrested for mistreatment and attempted murder. A few days ago, the man – resident in the province of Viterbo, in Calcata – attacked his younger brother by throwing him with a kick off the balcony(at that time without railings due to renovations).

The man had lashed out at the 35-year-old after finding him lying in bed next to his 16-year-old daughter, dressed and with his shoes tied. The daughter’s explanations were useless >, who denied any emotional and physical involvement.

The incident occurred on May 24th, but only came to light in the last few hours due to a dispute in a public place between father and daughter. The man, who got on the bus that takes the girl to school every morning, rekindled the argument with the girl, going so far as to threaten her with a nail file that he hid in the phone cover. So, at the Saxa Rubra stop in Rome, the 16-year-old called the police who promptly reconstructed all the events.

The father, who is now in Regina Coeli, will have to answer for family abuse and attempted murder. The uncle, who fell from a height of 3 metres, however, was given a prognosis of 39 days.
