NAPLES – Tonight a tobacco shop in via Cilea al Vomero was burgled. It is the owner of the business himself who reports the incident by addressing the deputy of the Greens-Left alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
“I can’t stand any more ofthis city which is invaded by slime people.” Thus the man, who added: “tonight at 3 o’clock they stole in the my tobacco shop in via Cilea in the heart of Vomero but the worst thing is that the locals called the police several times without receiving any response. After several failed calls, a police car arrived but it was too late they’ve all already left, taking with them cigarettes, cash, scratch cards and everything else.”
As can be seen from the video surveillance images, the robbers, after having forced the shutter, entered the room and made off with everything they found. “We have been reporting it for years now. Too many criminals, many, many thefts and robberies, while – Borrelli commented – the police are having difficulty intervening and preventing due to the small number, compared to the needs of the area, of agents. The Minister of the Interior had promised to wage war on crimeby increasing the men available to the police. In the meantime, however, several barracks have closed and there are not enough agents Maybe we see it differently, but in this way it seems that we are providing assistance to criminals.”
