VIDEO | Puff Daddy and beating his ex-girlfriend in a 2016 video

CNN releases the video shot on March 5, 2016 in which Puff Daddy is seen beating up his girlfriend at the time, Cassie Ventura. She reported him for violence last autumn

BOLOGNA – Puff Daddy grabs his girlfriend (who has since become an ex) by the neck,throws her to the ground, kicks her a few times and then drags hertaking her by the arm to bring her back inside the their room. It is the chilling scene seen in a video published exclusively by CNN : the facts date back to 5 March 2016 but the video (taken from images of video surveillance cameras of a hotel) was published in the last few hours.
The two, who remained together from 2007 to 2018, have in the meantime broken up: the rapper’s ex-girlfriend, the singer Cassie Ventura, reported him for violence in November 2023 and repeated physical and other abuse. Puff Daddy (real name Sean John Love Combs)has always denied all accusations. The legal dispute ended with a confidential agreement between the woman and the rapper.

After the release of the video, Cassie Ventura’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, told CNN: “The video did nothing but further confirm Mr. Combs’ disturbing and predatory behavior. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Mrs. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring all this to light.”

THE VIDEO

The video is impressive for the violence with which the rapper hits the woman. The scene in which he beats her, making her fall to the ground and then kicking her takes place in front of the elevator on a hotel floor. As it turns out, Cassie Ventura (evidently after an argument) was leaving the room and she is seen arriving in front of the elevator and calling it. A few moments later he comes running half naked, with a cloth around his waist, and grabs her and throws her to the ground, almost making her fly. Then he kicks her. And he brings her back into the room, making her crawl on the floor and dragging her by the wrist into the corridor.
