ROME – It was the night of Matteo Garrone and his ‘I captain’ but it was also the night of Paola Cortellesi, who won 6 David di Donatello with ‘There’s Still Tomorrow’. The film which achieved 5 million viewers and over 36 million euros in takings at the cinema received the award for best directorial debut;the award for best leading actress (just for Cortellesi); the David Giovani award; the award for best supporting actress (to Emanuela Fanelli); the best original screenplay award. On and off the stage, the evening began with a slew of awards for ‘There’s Still Tomorrow’. At the award for best leading actress, Cortellesi jokes about it: “Everything is great, there are always the same ones, always the same faces…. Tonight is a trend, I thank the director who recommended me”< /strong>.
