At the Turin Book Fair the presentation of the volume dedicated to Piedmont and the launch of the digital project

ROME – About 9,000 works of art and various historic buildings spread throughout the national territory. It is the artistic and cultural heritage of the INPS which has been handed down over the 125 years of history of the Institute thanks to the care and attention of the people who work there. A heritage made up of works of great value, created by more or less well-known artists, which are often little known and, although displayed inside the offices, are not accessible to the public. And it is precisely to make this heritage known and enhance it that the central communications management of the institution has promoted the series ’20 Works for 20 Regions’, a publication which presents, for each branch of the Institute, a selection of the most significant works of art.

A sort of journey into the historical and cultural heritage of the INPS in which each volume is dedicated to a region. A journey that this morning stopped in Turin, with the presentation, within of the International Book Fair, of ‘Inps e Arte – Piemonte’, the third volume of the series dedicated to the heritage of works of art that the institute preserves in the Piedmontese regional and provincial offices.
” I like to imagine these works of art within our offices as silent witnesses of the social transformations that have occurred over time – said Filippo Bonanni, INPS Piedmont regional director – They are works that, for decades, have witnessed the work of our employees but also to the passing through our offices of users who, over time, have needed our services”. The volume presents twenty works of art ranging from ‘Daphne and Apollo’ by Claudio Francesco Beaumont, to the oil on canvas ‘Landscape’ by Arturo Pividori.

“The artistic creations contained in the collection – explained Bonanni – are the result of years of acquisitions, donations and collaborations with local and national artists, which have contributed to enriching our working environment in Piedmont , to inspire anyone who has had the privilege of admiring them, this is because art is not only beauty and creativity, it is also a bridge that connects generations, demonstrating how it can be a vehicle of knowledge and social growth, a universal language that speaks directly to the heart”.

An objective, that of promoting and enhancing knowledge of its artistic and cultural heritage, which the organization aims to pursue also through the ‘Inps art and culture’ project. “This is an initiative that involves the creation of a digital, multidisciplinary and multi-channel communication platform with the aim of enhancing the artistic heritage and cultural initiatives of the Institute as well as promoting events, stimulating the creation of new ones and preserving their memory”, underlined Diego De Felice, central director of INPS communication. A project to valorise and disseminate the Institute’s works of art and its heritage excellence “which also aims to create a space for debate. In a few months we hope to be able to present the first prototype of the platform”, concluded De Felice.< /p>
