On the stage in Piazza Matteotti in Naples there is the secretary of Forza Italia Antonio Tajani together with many big names waving flags and singing the party anthem, the same one that in 1994 he accompanied Silvio Berlusconi’s entry into the field. The deputy prime minister has no doubts in dedicating almost every passage of the speech to his predecessor. In the front row there are Licia Ronzulli and Maurizio Gasparri holding a banner with the words “Tajani come Sinner. You are number 1″.

Next to Tajani is Caterina Chinnici, to whom the deputy prime minister dedicates a passage of his speech: “I am proud that she is the leader of the list in the Islands. I chose not to be the leader there, it’s right that Judge Chinnici’s daughter was there.”

Berlusconi’s heir is all of you”. But even the most recent battles of the party led by the deputy prime minister are named after the former prime minister, such as the one on justice: “it was not Berlusconi’s personal battle . He is no longer here but we continue to move forward for fair justice.”
