ROME – Fear in Naples, the earth trembles again. At 8.10pm a quake of magnitude 4.4: the strongest in the last 40 years. Moments of tension began at 7.51pm with the first shock of magnitude 3.5 with its epicenter in the Campi Flegrei area. The last shock at 9.46pm with a magnitude of 3.9 and the other shortly after, at 9.55pm, with a magnitude of 3.1.

“My goodness, what a disaster, now we realize we have to leave.” Thus in a video published on social media an employee of a supermarket in Pozzuoli filmed with his smartphone the goods that had fallen to the ground due to the earthquake tremors.
“We are following the seismic swarm that is affecting the Campi Flegrei with great attention. At the moment there are no reports of damage in the municipality of Naples. As a precaution we have closed the schools of the ninth and tenth municipalities for the technical checks which will take place tomorrow morning All our technical structures are operational 24 hours a day.” Thus in a post on Facebook the mayor of Naples Gaetano Manfredi who will hold a press point in the Sala Giunta at Palazzo San Giacomo tomorrow at 11.30.
