VIDEO | Mentana brings Meloni to La7, it’s a show: “Is she also incontinent? No, I’m just a dwarf”

The prime minister was judged to be the most hostile guest on TV. "But I don't have a problem with anyone who wants to talk about politics." It's a series of jokes

ROME – At the home of the ‘enemy’. Prime Minister Meloni was yesterday a surprise guest on the evening edition of TgLa7. The reception was theatrical: “We have checked whether there is a problem between the Prime Minister and our network. The result is…good evening to Prime Minister Meloni”, stated Mentana with a triumphant tone of journalistic success. “Ta-tà”, replied Meloni, as if to say: “Have you seen?”.

Inevitable, the interview begins with jokes about his presence on a TV deemed hostile. “There is never a problem between me and people who don’t think like me – he clarified – when they want to talk about politics”. Mentana replied by recalling the video from a few days ago in which Meloni addresses La7 viewers directly:  “Dear La7 viewers, we haven’t seen each other for a while – Meloni begins -. I hope to find you heartened for the the danger of authoritarian drift, of the collapse of the economy, of Italy’s isolation at an international level was avoided. Because while many were discussing these phantoms, we worked tirelessly to improve Italy’s conditions.” She wanted to clarify: “Someone saw an attack on the viewers of la 7 but I limited myself to being ironic with some presenters. I think it’s my right, also because I think it’s also the reason why I don’t come often.”

“WE ARE NOT TMC: TELE MELONI CAIRO”

Mentana then wanted to address the viewers: “We too have not become Tele-Meloni, or perhaps TMC, Tele Meloni Cairo”. “They will tell you, you know – replied the prime minister – this is a world in which they want to see me disappear”. “I wouldn’t want them to accuse you of incontinence too – replied Mentana”. “No, look, I’ll leave that one to you. I’ll take nana and all the others…”. The gloss is a mutual thank you: “I didn’t give her anything – Mentana commented – even though a gift would always be good for a lady. We hope to see her again on La7 even in times of political peace and not in election campaign”. “As I told you: I’m always available to talk about politics.” We’ll see.
