During the Eurovision Song Contest press conference, the record producer responded to the controversy with the singer

ROME – “In my opinion it wasn’t right that an 18 year old boy weighed so much for a health issue, no forcing. The show has some needs, but no obligations”. These are the words by Mara Maionchi at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 conference on the controversy with Tiziano Ferro, who reposted an article accusing Maionchi of having forced him to remain silent about homosexuality and of having forced him to lose weight “With so much weight everything becomes heavier, like concerts. I’m not saying that you have to lose weight to be successful, that’s ridiculous. I believe – continued Maionchi – that I gave him good advice at the time < /strong>without thinking that someone more robust couldn’t do something. The songs are the ones that count and he had them.”
