ROME – “I was born in a big city and I had the opportunity for my family to follow me and help me obtain a diagnosis, yet it took me 11 years to get it. However, let’s think of all those people who these they don’t have privilegesWe need to do more.” Thus Giorgia Soleri, influencer and activist, champion of the fight against endometriosis, a pathology from which she suffers, launches her appeal to Dire on the occasion, today in Rome, of the event entitled Endometriosis. Knowing it to face it’, organized by the ‘Women in Europe’ association in collaboration with the Forza Italia group in the Chamber. The event took place in the New Hall of Parliamentary Groups.

“It is necessary for the institutions to take a strong and clear position towards the 063 exemption (for chronic diseases, ed.) – added the influencer – which exists but which unfortunately it doesn’t give many people the right to protection and recognition of the pathology. But above all, a lot of training and research needs to be done.” Soleri finally recalled that endometriosis is a “social and disabling disease that affects approximately 3 and a half million women in Italy with a full-blown diagnosis, because there is a diagnostic delay between 8/10 years “.
