NAPLES – Cash for over 4 million euros. And again, numerous precious objects, gold objects, diamonds and 48 luxury watches whose value – not less than 5 million euros – is currently being estimated. This is what was found and seized during the joint operation carried out yesterday which proved that despite the detention under the 41 bis regime, two top elements of the Contini Camorra clan of Naples continued to play a strategic role in partnership.
With the operation carried out by the Naples flying squad, by the investigative unit of the Carabinieri of Naples, by the economic-financial police unit of Naples and by the Scico of the financial police, it led to the execution of an ordinance , issued by the investigating judge of the court of Naples, at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, which orders the precautionary custody in prison of four subjects, belonging to the same family unit, two of whom are already detained for another reason. p>
The seizure was carried out during the search carried out on one of the four recipients of the precautionary custody order in prison issued for the crimes of mafia association, threats, incitement not to make statements or to make false statements to the judicial authorities, laundering and self-laundering, aggravated by the facilitative purpose of the Contini clan.

The search carried out in the home of one of the suspects made it possible to discover a vault cleverly hidden and shielded with iron plates, whose localization was possible thanks to technologically advanced tools, inside which the “treasure” subjected to seizure was found.
Based on the investigative findings, the recipient of the seizure allegedly laundered the proceeds offraudsperpetrated through the resale of luxury watches strong>in companies registered to nominees, operating in the sectors of ferrous waste management, telephony and property rental and dedicated to the issuing and use of invoices for non-existent operations.
