ROME – Among the absolute protagonists of the Italian Cup final is Massimiliano Allegri. In the final minutes of the match that established him as the most successful coach in the competition, he lost his temper and railed against the match director Maresca. Six minutes of added time are evidently too many for the Tuscan coach, who takes off his jacket and attacks the fourth official.

The red card was inevitable, which unleashed Allegri’s fury even further: he almost took off his shirt as he headed towards the changing rooms, and before taking the underpass he shouted: “Where is he?” Rocchi? (The referee’s designator, ed.).
