ROME – “We are confident that the EU Commission agrees with us” on the bridge loan “and that these resources, 320 million euros, can also be added to those already allocated, 300 million euros to allow the maintenance and relaunch of the former Ilva production plants”. This was said bythe Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, speaking to journalists in the ministry’s headquarters in Via Veneto on the sidelines of a series of meetings on fuels and aerospace.
“The ministry is discussing with the EU Commission precisely to provide all the necessary documentation for the authorization which we believe will arrive soon from the European Commission on this bridge loan” which will be based on“an industrial and financial plan which demonstrates that it is reimbursable as provided by European rules in the appropriate times for the industrial relaunch of what were the main European factories of the former Ilva”.
