University: scholarship amounts increase. The ISEE and ISPE limits also increase to broaden the range of beneficiaries
Bernini: "The strengthening of the right to education is an absolute priority of the Government"
ROME – The minimum amounts of scholarships and the maximum ISEE and ISPE limits for access to benefits relating to the right to study will increase for the 2024/2025 academic year. This was decided by the Ministry of University and Research, in collaboration with the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, following the average annual variation in the Istat general index of consumer prices of +5.4 percent.
In detail, the amount of the scholarships for off-site students will be 7,015.97 euros (+ 359.45 euros), those for commuter students will be 4,100.05 euro(+ 210.06), whilefor on-site students the amount will be equal to 2,827.64 euro(+ 144.87). These amounts can be further increased for less wealthy students. Furthermore, the maximum limits of the Indicator of the Equivalent Economic Situation (ISEE) and the Indicator of the Equivalent Property Situation (ISPE) increase in order to further broaden the range of beneficiaries of the right to education measures. The first was defined as 27,726.79, with an increase of 1,420.54 euros, and the second as 60,275.66, corresponding to an increase of 3,088.13 euros. “The strengthening of the right to education is an absolute priority of the Government. Increasing the value of the grants, adapting it to the inflation rate, is a new demonstration of the desire to be alongside students and their families< /strong>. A commitment that adds to the coverage of all those eligible for last year, as had never happened before, and to the record allocation for scholarships for 2024. Concrete acts that demonstrate how for this Government the study is a real right for all and not a privilege for a few”, comments the Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini.
