Tyla beautiful and dressed in sand at the Met Gala

The South African singer Tyla was the most admired star of the Met Gala with her sculpture-dress made of sand and the classidra in hand

BOLOGNA – Enchanting and dressed in sand, complete with hourglass in tow: this is the impressive look with which the 21-year-old South African singer Tyla paraded last night at the Met Gala, certainly thanks to this very special dress the most admired star of the ‘event.

The dress worn by the singer is a sculpture created by Balmain and fit perfectly into the key theme of the evening, which was “The Garden of Time“. The dress code was in fact inspired by James Graham Ballard’s story with this title. Even the hourglass that the singer had in her hand symbolized the passage of time.

Putting on the special dress was not easy for Tyla: she was always helped in her movements because the dress could untie in an instant. In fact, with her there were four assistants, in suits and ties, who always helped her with her movements and in particular with turning around.
