Turkish Retaliation: Kurds Hit in Syria and Iraq

After the Tusas Terror Attack: Turkish Intelligence Says It Targeted "Strategic Positions" Used by the PKK

ROME – As expected, Turkey’s military response has arrived. After the terrorist attack on the headquarters of Turkey’s national aerospace company, retaliation was triggered: air strikes hit Kurdish targets in Syria and Iraq. Turkish intelligence said it targeted numerous “strategic positions” used by the PKK or the Syrian Kurdish militia affiliated with the militants.

The targets included military, intelligence, energy and infrastructure facilities and ammunition depots. The strikes used armed drones.

The Turkish Air Force had already carried out strikes against similar targets in northern Syria and northern Iraq yesterday, hours after Turkish government officials blamed the PKK for the deadly attack on the headquarters of the aerospace and defense company Tusas.
