A weekend of disruption is expected for rail transport

ROME – A weekend of disruption is expected for rail transport. A 24-hour national strike has been proclaimed for 6 and 7 July. The trains of the Fs Italiane Group, Trenitalia, Italo, Trenord and Sad trains will be affected. The unions Cub, Sgb and Uilt-Sgk proclaimed the agitation.

From 9pm on Saturday 6th to 9pm on Sunday 7th July trains may thus be subject to cancellations or changes. “Labor unrest – we read on the Trenitalia website – may lead to changes to the service even before the start and after its conclusion”.

REQUEST FOR REFUND AND RESCHEDULE OF THE TRIP strong>

In anticipation of the strike, “travellers who intend to give up their trip can request a refund from the time the strike is declared until the departure time of the booked train, for Intercity and Frecce trains and until midnight of the day before the strike itself, for regional trains”.

Alternatively, “they can reschedule the trip, under similar transport conditions, as soon as possible, subject to seat availability”.
