ROMA – Toti to Spinelli: “I’m thrown on board by Aldo, when will we bring him this extension? If we can manage it by mid-September, it’ll be convenient for me too.”

And again “I’m having lunch with Spinelli’s entire family…we need to find a solution for the beach. Let’s rationalize the free (ed) beaches that are there, let’s merge them, let’s move them”.

“Look, we’ve solved your son’s problem, now let’s practice, it can be built…When are you going to invite me on the boat? So let’s talk a bit because now there are elections , we need a hand”.

“Bring some caviar from Monaco, we’ll come and eat a potato with caviar on the boat next week.”

This is what emerges from the telephone interceptions connected to the investigation, begun in 2020, by the Genoa Prosecutor’s Office which led to the house arrest of the President of the Liguria Region Giovanni Toti, accused of corruption linked to port concessions and electoral favours. The judiciary hypothesizes an intertwined network of relationships between Toti; Paolo Emilio Signorini, the former president of the Port System Authority of the Western Ligurian Sea and Aldo Spinelli, former president of Genoa football and head of a powerful entrepreneurial group in the sector of logistics.
