The case of Laura Ziliani's death will be addressed. The two daughters and the eldest's boyfriend are accused of the murder

ROME – Laura Ziliani, a 55-year-old woman, disappears in Temù, near Ponte di Legno, on 8 May 2021, Mother’s Day. The alarm was raised by the two daughters, Silvia and Paola, aged 27 and 19, who had already lost their father in 2012, who died in an avalanche during an excursion in the mountains. The searches, which lasted weeks, bore no fruit; and to find out what happened to Laura it will be necessary to wait until her body is found on August 8th. Accused of the murder are the daughters themselves, who together with the eldest’s boyfriend, Mirto Milani, suffocated their mother after sedating her with benzodiazepines. A case at the center of “Un giorno in Pretura”, by Roberta Petrelluzzi, Tommi Liberti and Antonella Nafra, broadcast tomorrow 7 June at 9.10pm on Rai 3.

Why did three normal, unprecedented boys, who had never hurt anyone, kill Laura Ziliani? What transformed these three good guys into a “criminal trio”? The episode will tell the story of the efforts made during the trial to find meaning in this inexplicable matricide. The three suspects they will confess to the murder before the trial even begins, but despite this a thick fog envelops the meaning of this dramatic story.
