‘Together in diabetes management’, the Truck Tour promoted by Medtronic has concluded

MILAN – From Catanzaro to Turin, also passing through Bari, Salerno, Rome, Florence and Milan: these are the 7 stages of the Truck Tour ‘Together in diabetes management’ promoted by Medtronic which, between April and May , traveled throughout the peninsula, involving healthcare professionals and patients in moments of dialogue and discussion with experts, training sessions and insights into technologies dedicated to diabetes.
With the aim of raising awareness among public opinion, institutions and health professionals on a chronic pathology which in Italy affects more than three and a half million people (about 6% of the population) as well as on The importance of increasingly effective glycemic control and therapy. A result, today, made increasingly possible thanks to new devices with advanced technology.

With the ‘Together for diabetes management’ initiative, the company has chosen to bring a real educational hub to Italian squares and to some hospital centers of excellence, in which training sessions dedicated to professionals have been organised. of health and opportunities for in-depth analysis and sharing for patients.

The ‘Together in diabetes management’ initiative saw the involvement of over twenty national and local Patient Associations who, together with their members, animated the 14 days of training, meetings and presentations included in the program. Furthermore, 357 patients and 124 healthcare professionals were trained, including diabetologists, nurses, nutritionists and specialists, who had the opportunity to listen to and discuss with experts on the main topics of interest to them: from lifestyles to the management of diabetic patients.
