ROME – On 13 May in Bari the interesting meeting on the topics of accredited healthcare was held – with great success – which saw the participation of the major trade associations representing the clinics, polyclinics, institutions and private hospitals, united under the acronym U.A.P., in the presence – among others – of the Undersecretary of Health, Marcello Gemmato.
The U.A.P. (National Union of clinics, polyclinics, institutions and private hospitals), representing more than 8,000 healthcare facilities at a national level, underlined the importance of local medicine, focusing attention – in particular – on tariff nomenclature for outpatient specialists, on the need to have rates adequate to the quality of the services provided, as well as fairness of authorization of the national guidelines in the provision of health services by of pharmacies, where there is no clarity at a legislative level. In this regard, in fact, it was noted that the D.D.L. Simplifications, Legislative Decree no. does not apply to pharmacies. 502/1992 and all the national and regional regulations regarding procedures for authorizations to carry out healthcare activities, which have been in force for years for all healthcare facilities, thus preventing the maintenance of the quality standards required by law in favor of citizens.
Clarity was therefore loudly requested, above all on the role that we want to attribute to pharmacies.
U.A.P. has already developed its own nomenclature for about a month, which it presented, and for which it reiterated the need to have a discussion table as soon as possible (already requested on April 29th) with the Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci, with the Minister of Economy and Finance, Giancarlo Giorgetti, with the Head of Cabinet, Marco Mattei, with the General Director of Agenas, Domenico Mantoan, with the Head of the Legislative Office, Massimo Lasalvia, and with the Accountant General of the State, Biagio Mazzotta, to clarify and present concrete projects for healthy, quality local medicine that places the citizen at the center of attention, provided by accredited private healthcare, which provides a public service just like hospital facilities.
The President of U.A.P., Dr. Mariastella Giorlandino, thanked the organizers, including Aldo Allegretti of Confapi, the politicians present, including the Undersecretary Marcello Gemmato, who paid particular attention to the requests presented, as well as all the associations category present: for Feder Anisap the President Valter Rufini, for Anmed Elisa Interlandi, for the national AIOP Filippo Leonardi, for Confapi Salute the National President Michele Colaci, for A.I.S.I. Giovanni Onesti, as well as Leonardo Giangrande vicar of Confcommercio Puglia, Filippo Anelli National President of the Order of Surgeons and Dentists, Nunzio Cirulli President of the ENPAM specialist council, Maurizio Durini President of the Order of Biologists of Puglia and Basilicata, Giuseppe Ciracì National President SBV and advisor to the medical association, Dr. Pier Paolo Polizzi, General Secretary of Fenaspat, Dr. Elisabetta Argenziano, National President of SNABILP Federbiologi, Rocco Lovero, National President of ANDIAR, and many other authorities present at the meeting, who brought together more of 500 healthcare facility representatives nationwide.
