In Palma de Mallorca the outdoor terrace of a restaurant collapsed, leaving at least three dead: the tragedy in the tourist resort of Playa de Palma

BOLOGNA – There would be at least three deaths in the collapse of the terrace of a bar restaurantwhich occurred last night around 8.30pm in Playa de Palma, a tourist resort in Palma de Mallorca. to the Balearic Islands in Spain. The terrace that collapsed (witnesses spoke of an impressive noise “like a bomb) is that of the restaurant Medusa Beach Club, located in Calle Cartago 36,on the seafront strong>: at the time of the tragedy, it was full of people. The collapse could be linked to the excessive presence of people on the terrace at the same time.

The first floor would have collapsed (the terrace is on two levels), which would have crushed the ground floor causing it to sink into the basement. Some customers were crushed. The deaths, the exact figure of which is not yet known, would be at least three. More than a dozen injured, 16 according to local newspapers. Various rescue videos are circulating on X, including the one posted by journalist Javier Negre which bounces from account to account. There are hundreds of people on the seafront.
