Franco Anelli, rector of the Catholic University of Milan, was found dead at home: investigations underway, suicide cannot be ruled out

MILAN – The rector of the Catholic University found dead at home in Milan. The university note states that the rector, Franco Anelli, has tragically passed away “under circumstances currently under investigation”. The Catholic University announced this in a note. Suicide cannot be ruled out among the hypotheses.

“With profound dismay, the community of the Catholic University and of the Agostino Gemelli IRCCS University Polyclinic Foundation, to which he dedicated his work and his entire life, gathers together in mourning and prayer, expressing its deepest condolences to his mother and his loved ones”.
