The program reserved for partners of the G7 leaders

A specific calendar of commitments dedicated to companions of nations and international organizations

BORGO EGNAZIA – As part of the G7 Italy of Borgo Egnazia, scheduled from tomorrow to 15 June, a specific program is dedicated to the leaders’ partners of the nations and international organizations participating or guests at the summit.

THE PROGRAM

According to what we learn, tomorrow a visit to the Archaeological Museum of Borgo Egnazia is planned, which is located outside the walls of the ancient city of Egnathia, the archaeological site located in the area of the Messapian necropolis, near Fasano. At the end of the visit you will have the opportunity to admire a thousand-year-old olive grove within the area of the Pettolecchia Fortress. On Friday, however, the program will start from Grottaglie, a place famous in the world for the production of artistic ceramics, where a visit to a historic laboratory will be held, to witness the phases of artisanal production and decoration of the artefacts and of the Museum of the ‘Casa Vestita’ ceramic. Next stop in Alberobello where they will visit the historic center, characterized by the typical trulli. From here, according to what we learn, a journey through the Itria Valley will begin on board a historic train with destination Martina Franca, where the program will end with a visit to the Palazzo Ducale, built in 17th century on the site where the ancient medieval castle stood and home to important frescoes created by Domenico Carella in the second half of the 18th century.
