“REGULATORY DETENTION OF CERTAIN BREEDS”

Oipa, the Italian organization for the protection of animals, hopes that “this direction from the Salerno Prosecutor’s Office will set a precedent and be a model to follow in similar cases where “challenging” dogs are the protagonists of more or less serious episodes of aggression”.
The association, at the same time, returns to ask the legislator to regulate the detention of certain types of dogs which too often are also chosen by non- able to handle them correctly. At a local level, some Municipalities, such as that of Milan, have regulated the matter by providing the granting of licenses for the keeping of certain breeds or similar breeds.
