Yet another forfeit at the Rome tournament: "There is no trauma but I am debilitated. I am very sad"

ROME – “I’ve tried everything to play but I’m not ready to compete, I risk getting hurt. There is nothing broken but great sadness.” And so Matteo Berrettini also leaves the Internazionali, already orfani by Sinner. The tournament loses another Italian, due to yet another injury to the Roman.

“We hope that 2025 will be a good year for Rome – says Berrettini – Fortunately there is no trauma but I have the feeling that something could happen since I am very debilitated”.
