ON THE SIDE THE SILHOUETTES OF THE GREATS

NOT JUST SPORT, ALSO TOURISM AND GREEN MOBILITY< /h3>

“There couldn’t have been a better day to inaugurate this yellow train, because today is World Bicycle Day. It’s nice that when we talk about a race, a sporting event, we also talk about tourism and mobility sustainable. A few weeks and we will be at this start that we have been waiting for months, I can’t wait”, says the president of Apt Emilia-Romagna, the former cycling champion Davide Cassani . “The passage of the Tour will have a global impact, because it is a race that is seen in the world. For our territory it is important, because it will give the world the opportunity to see our excellence, our beauties, all that and to good we can show“, explains Cassani.

FROM MILAN TO ANCONA

“We asked ourselves how Trenitalia Tper could be ‘used’ to convey the event and a message on sustainable mobility. We thought of conveying the positive image of a major sporting event on one of the most used routes from commuters on the route from Milan to Ancona, for me, having the Tour start means bringing the Olympics to Emilia-Romagna for three days“, adds the regional councilor for Transport, Andrea Corsini.

“GINETTACCIO WOULD LIKE IT”

“For a unique occasion, a unique train was needed. It will be visible every day on the Via Emilia route, from Ancona to Milan. Many will see it”, underlines the CEO of Trenitalia Tper, Alessandro Tullio . “It’s a source of incredible pride. My grandfather would be very happy,” assures Gioia Bartali, granddaughter of the ‘Ginettaccio’, who runs in profile on the side of the train, the unmistakable profile of his “sad nose like a climb, those cheerful eyes of an Italian on a trip”
