SAINT-VINCENT (AOSTA) – For the first time, the European Magic Championships arrive in Italy. They do it in Saint-Vincent, which becomes the capital of magicians, magicians and illusionists who will come from all over Europe for a weekend. The European Championships are a step towards the 2025 World Cup, which will be held in Turin. The European Magic Championships are scheduled from Thursday 23rd to Sunday 26th May in Saint-Vincent, in the Aosta Valley, where they arrived thanks to the long work of the Masters of Magic, the organization led by Walter Rolfo which has always been committed to promoting of the art of illusion with the aim of making even what seems impossible possible. This weekend – from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th May – the “Aperitif” of the European Championships will be the “Masters of magic World tour”, the live show (with direction and show design by Alessandro Marrazzo) which brings together nine of the most surprising illusionists and magicians from China to the United States, from Europe to Asia, who will leave the audience speechless. The show will be on the stage of the Palais of Saint-Vincent. There is also great anticipation for the European Championships event, which will see 150 magicians competing, again at the Palais and the Grand Hôtel Billia, determined to compete for the title for direct access to the World Championships in Turin.
The two events will “invade” the Aosta Valley with over 3,000 magicians from all over the world. Among the artists on stage are Xavier Mortimer from Las Vegas, a magician with over 27 million followers on social media, known internationally for his magic numbers that combine original techniques of illusion and comedy, the German Topas, among the youngest champions of magic, known for his innovative performances and his grandiose illusions with a unique style, the Belgian Laurent Piron, already winner of the 2022 World Championships in Quebec, performs all over the world with modern shows that reawaken the emotion of audience with numbers full of visual effects. And again, there will be the American Armando Lucero, a magician with over 30 years of experience in the sector, known for his imposing stage presence and his incredible skill with cards and coins who will hold a show dedicated to a few spectators, and the Chinese Zhu Minghzu, winner of China’s top acrobatics award, famous for his highly creative and one-of-a-kind performances.
