“I am very proud of the result of Fdi, and of that of Fi and the League, the majority that governs this nation has managed to grow together”. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni says this while commenting on the results of the European elections at the Parco dei Principi hotel in Rome. “The message that comes to us from the Italians is to move forward with greater determination. I am ready to accept it. I am proud that we are presenting ourselves at the G7 with the strongest government of all”, she adds.
“To me this night is more beautiful than the one two years ago. That night people told us: ‘We hope that you are’. After two years they say to us: ‘You are’. Thanks to the majority of Italians who chose the centre-right”. “In our case, they saw us coming but were unable to stop us”. Giorgia Meloni takes her leave with this joke, after singing the ‘national anthem, by FdI leaders and militants, gathered at the Parco dei Principi hotel.
“The system is becoming bipolar again. It’s good news, there are opposing visions and citizens are asked which side they’re on. Today they told us they are on our side.”
