In Italy there are as many as 20 virtuous companies capable of guaranteeing very young collaborators born between 1998 and 2012 high levels of trust and satisfaction in the work environment (91%). A figure, that of the Media Trust Index, is 14% higher than that recorded by the Gen Z population active in organizations not present in the ranking (77%). However, they are there some aspects such as layoffs and remuneration with which they are more dissatisfied, especially compared to more mature generations (Baby Boomers, Gen X and Millennials
).It is interesting to note, however, how it is more difficult for organizations to engage Generation Z on ‘purpose’, the more emotional side that determines personal motivation and pride in work. If for previous generations the origin in choosing a new job was mainly determined by the image of the brand and its power on a commercial level, for young people it is not enough: social responsibility, ESG, equal treatment and identification with company values are the new key factors. It is now up to companies – concludes Bedusa – to readapt themselves in the direction of a market in which those who for the first time show themselves to be more sensitive to value and emotional aspects appear”.
