DIGITAL ‘MIGRATION’ TOWARDS PSN FOR OVER 230 ADMINISTRATIONS

There are over 230 entities – including central public administrations, local health authorities and Italian hospitals – that have started the process of cloud migration of their data and services towards the national strategic hub. This step, in line with what is foreseen in the Pnrr, significantly brings the European intermediate objective of September 2024 closer, which envisages the migration of at least one service onto the Psn infrastructure by 100 of these entities. To date, counting, 233 have started the process, including 144 Central PAs, including ministries and Prefectures, and 89 health facilities. “Numbers that demonstrate how the Meloni Government has brought the Italian digital transition from the planning phase to the implementation phase – underlined the Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council with responsibility for technological innovation, Alessio Butti – by securing Italians’ data and providing services more accessible and modern digital technologies”.

DELIVERED TO FERROVIE FIRST LOCOMOTIVE WITH ‘LAST MILE’

Delivered to Ferrovie dello Stato, in the Alstom factory in Vado Ligure, the first Traxx Universal DC locomotive equipped with ‘Last mile’, an innovative element that allows the train to be connected to non-electrified areas without the aid of shunting locomotives. The four-axle locomotive, designed specifically for freight transport, characterized by efficiency in electrical energy consumption and high traction capacity, represents excellence: the more functional design allows the application of a maintenance plan with longer intervals long and a reduced number of interventions, maintaining high levels of reliability and availability.

SAIPEM DRONE TAGLIA GOAL 167 DAYS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA

Hydrone-R, Saipem’s underwater intervention drone, currently operating in Equinor’s Njord Field development project off the coast of Norway, has reached the milestone of continuous stay on the seabed of 167 days. The project in which he is involved is part of a ten-year contract: the drone has the task of carrying out inspections and interventions on underwater resources, thus providing valuable information on potential dangers and, ultimately, improving the overall integrity and safety of the Equinor submarine systems. This agreement was the first global underwater drone service contract signed in the offshore energy sector. As further proof of Saipem’s commitment to innovation, the Njord project will be the site of the upcoming first launch of Hydrone-W, an all-electric heavy-lift underwater drone.
