Four group exhibitions, 18 individual exhibitions, 6 locations and 4 months of festivals. These are the numbers of the next edition of the international photography festival ‘Cortona on The Move’, scheduled in the Tuscan city from 11 July to 3 November, with the theme Body of Evidence. The ‘highlight’ of the event will be, as every year, on the inaugural days of the festival (11-14 July), when the greatest national and international experts in the world of photography meet in Cortona, engaged in events, presentations, talks and workshop, to promote reflection on current events and the past, through one of the tools that best investigates reality.
The Triennale di Milano hosts from 22 May to 12 January 2025 a large retrospective dedicated to Gae Aulenti, one of the most representative figures of contemporary architecture and design. In over sixty years of career, the designer has touched numerous fields: from urban-scale design to exhibition design, from landscape architecture to interior design, from furniture design to graphics, up to theatrical scenography. The exhibition itinerary is made up of 1:1 scale environments, thanks to the original materials preserved in the architect’s Milanese archive, including drawings, photographs and maquettes.
The second edition of Spaesaggi festival will be held from 11 to 21 July, the cultural event organized by the Municipality of Grizzana Morandi and the Union of Municipalities of the Bolognese Apennines with the collaboration of the Emilia-Romagna Region: ten evenings of music and entertainment, with performances, shows and talks by over 100 artists from all over the world, with events in Grizzana Morandi but also in Riola Ponte and, in particular, at Rocchetta Mattei, Campolo and Montovolo. The first concert announced, scheduled for July 11th, will be that of Dargen D’Amico with his latest album ‘Ciao America’.
In the beginning there was Dionysus. It is to him and to the mysterious rites that the birth of the theater is due. This is told in the exhibition set up in Rome at the Ara Pacis, promoted by the Capitoline Superintendence and open to visitors until 3 November. Over 240 works from 25 different lenders form the ‘Teatro. Authors, actors and audiences in ancient Rome’ who reveal the secrets of the scenes from their origins to today. Through the lives of the protagonists, visitors to the exhibition will become spectators invited to look beyond the scene, to peek inside the actors’ dressing rooms also thanks to multimedia interventions created ad hoc that accompany the journey through the original pieces exhibited in seven different sections. p>
