ROME – Another scandal hits Rome’s taxi drivers. In fact, yesterday the driver of a white car refused to let the well-known journalist and science communicator Alessandro Cecchi Paone on board, justifying the refusal with the critical positions expressed by Cecchi Paone towards the taxi category.< /p>
The episode, filmed by the camera installed on the same taxi, occurred yesterday 5 June around 3.40pm in Campo de’ Fiori. The video of the refusal appeared on social networks, probably published by the taxi driver himself.
The images show the journalist stopping the taxi, with the car slowing down to let the customer get on board but, once he recognized Cecchi Paone, the taxi driver exclaims: “I’m sorry, I don’t want to take her because speaks badly of taxis. Go on foot!”. The images continue with the car driving away along the streets of central Rome.
