Schlein on Lollobrigida’s gaffe: “In vino veritas. We are in good hands”

When he made the gaffe about the drought, Lollobrigida "was talking about wines in Piedmont. One might say 'In vino veritas'", says Elly Schlein

ROME – “I have received the words of Minister Lollobrigida who is hard to believe. In response to a parliamentary question he was talking about the production of wines in Piedmont, one might say ‘in vino veritas’, because then he said. ‘Fortunately, the drought this year only affects some regions and in particular Sicily’. It seems to me that these are words that describe themselves. If this is the government’s commitment to address the fact that in Sicily hundreds of municipalities will see water rationing in 2024 we are not in good hands”. The leader of the Democratic Party, Elly Schlein, said this on the sidelines of an electoral initiative in Pesaro.
“Tomorrow I will go to Sicily and we will be there with all our efforts to try to resolve this dramatic situation”, he added.
