From an idea by Stefano Corsi and Leonardo Lo Frano, ‘Sanremo Dietro la Quinta’ puts the spotlight on the efforts, anxieties and fears that hover among the artists, while we can already breathe a climate of great complicity and anticipation, from the very first rehearsals, in Rome, on a set behind closed doors, into which only director Leonardo Lo Frano’s camera was able to enter.

It’s a short step from their memory to the immense heritage of Teche Rai: to celebrate the company’s anniversaries – 70 years of TV and 100 of radio – an unprecedented selection of archive images on the Festivals of the past and on Italy in black and white enrichs the story.
Finally, through a technical expedient of live sound decomposition, for the first time the viewer will have the opportunity to listen to the a cappella interpretations of their idols on the most important stage in Italy: in the most intense moment of the performance, the instrumental sounds will suddenly lower, leaving room for the magic of the naked voice.
