(SAY) Rome, 31 May. – Saman Abbas‘s mother is no longer a fugitive, the Reggio Emilia prosecutor’s office will start the extradition process from Pakistan and, as soon as the woman is in Italy, she will go to prison. “Now the Reggio Emilia Prosecutor’s Office will start the extradition procedure, since the person has already been declared a fugitive during the investigations and during the first instance trial. Saman’s mother she was sentenced to life imprisonment and therefore, once in Italy, she will immediately go to prison and then she will be able to defend herself in the subsequent appeal trial, this time not as a fugitive, as happened in the past, but in presence”.
