Roberto Mancini is no longer the coach of Saudi Arabia

The decision comes after a series of poor performances by Saudi Arabia, particularly during the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches.

ROME – “The Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabia Football Federation and National Team Coach Roberto Mancini have reached a joint agreement today that provides for the end of the contractual relationship”.

This is what we read in a note from the Saudi Arabia National Football Teams, announcing the end of the Arab experience for the former coach of the Italian national team.

“The Federation thanks coach Roberto Mancini – it reads -, wishing him many successes in his career. The Board of Directors confirms that the name of the next coach of the first team will be announced in the next few days after the definitive and official conclusion of the contractual procedure”.

THE NEGATIVE PERFORMANCES

The decision comes at the end of a series of less than stellar performances by Saudi Arabia, in particular during the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches: three victories (against Tajikistan, Pakistan and China), three draws and two defeats.
