ROME – Less than a day left until the polls open in the European elections. The event ‘The Next Europe – Policies beyond politics’ was held in Rome, conceived and organized by Will&Chora Media and Dissipatio with the collaboration of the Representation of the European Commission in Italy. A unique physical event of its kind in Italy in which policy makers, experts and the community of Will Media and Dissipatio exchanged views on crucial issues for European development.
The three political themes of the event were: Artificial Intelligence, Security and Defense and Single Market and Green Transition. For each of these themes, high-profile speakers were invited, including representatives of national and international institutions, policymakers, researchers, academics and sector experts. Among the institutional figures who participated: Nathalie Tocci (director of the International Affairs Institute), Luca de Angelis (manager of the Ministry for Business and Made in Italy), Agostino Inguscio (UNDP Rome coordinator), General Fernando Giancotti, Simona Baldassarre (Councillor of the Lazio Region) and Claudia Colla (Head of the Regional Representation of the European Commission in Milan). After the thematic panels, a recorded live episode of the Closer podcast was created in which the authors of Will&Chora Media, Francesco Oggiano and Carlo Notarpietro, met with communication experts, Lorenzo Pregliasco, Carlo Canepa and Luciana Grosso, to comment the current affairs of the electoral campaigns for the European elections.
The event was held before the European elections to talk about the next major policy challenges of the European Union and represents the conclusion of the campaign undertaken by Will & Chora Media for the next European elections on 8 and 9 June. In fact, in the last few weeks on all Will & Chora Media published in-depth content on crucial issues for the European Union and calls to action to remember the importance of voting which totaled over 22 million impressions. Success also recorded by two new podcasts dedicated to the European Union, Europeans and Voting is easy, the daily podcasts of Will Media, The Essential and Closer. Among the main components of Will Media’s social campaign was the ‘Ma Chi Voto’, a tool created by Will Media through which it is possible to discover one’s closeness to the parties running for the European elections starting from a series of positions. Just two days after launch it had already exceeded 100 thousand compilations (currently 180 thousand).
