Policeman shoots and kills a colleague: tragedy in the province of Bologna

The femicide took place in the headquarters of the local police command. The reasons could be linked to a history between the two

BOLOGNA – Tragedy this afternoon in Anzola dell’Emilia, in the Bologna area. Shortly after 4pm, a policeman aged around 60 shot a colleague in her early thirties, killing her, in the headquarters of the local police command.

As far as we know, the man fired his service pistol, and then allowed himself to be arrested without offering resistance. The causes of the crime are still unknown: one of the hypotheses, however still to be verified, is that the origin of the gesture was the end of a romantic relationship between the victim and the murderer.

At the moment it is not known whether the shot was fired intentionally or whether it was fired accidentally during a scuffle between the two policemen. The Carabinieri are on site and the area is completely armored.
