There is talk of anti-waiting list decree, Roberto Vannacci and Federmeccanica

HEALTH. FROM CDM GREECE TO DL ANTI WAITING LISTS

Green light from the Council of Ministers to the decree law for the reduction of waiting lists in healthcare facilities. “It is no longer acceptable that in many situations there are closed lists – explained the Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci in a press conference at Palazzo Chigi – Individual hospital companies or individual professionals must no longer perform intramurally a number of services greater than those carried out by the national health system. Tragically, some findings show that there are health facilities in which nine electrocardiograms are performed under NHS care and 90 intramurally”, the minister said. The provision provides that the Regions assign to the general directors of health companies some annual objectives on reducing expectations: in case of failure to achieve them, they can be suspended from the national list of directors for 12 months. There will also be room for specialists who will be called to reduce the waiting lists.

Responding to questions from foreign correspondents in Rome, the general, who is running for the European elections for the League, underlines: “I fought for years in war and I have decided to continue fighting but from the seats of the European Parliament. Mine is not a candidacy of If the voters elect me I will sit on those seats in Brussels.” He then underlines that he is “an original, not like the front candidates”. Finally comes the dig thrown at party leaders who were engaged in the electoral campaign and then remained in Italy. And, returning to the controversy over his considerations on homosexuals, the general specifies: “I am not homophobic, phobia is a psychiatric disease”.

FEDERMECCANICA: DOWN PRODUCTION, STRUCTURAL WEDGE CUT

The decline in production in the metalworking sector continues, losing 4.1% in the first quarter compared to 2023. This is what emerges from the economic survey by Federmeccanica.
