Separating North and South “would cause serious damage to both”. The warning from the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella arrives on the eve of May 1st, during the visit to the workers of two agri-food factories in the province of Cosenza. “The South of Italy – observes the head of state – is part of Europe and is decisive for its future”. A delegation of opposition parties filed a popular initiative law on the minimum wage this morning in the Supreme Court. The Pd, 5 Star Movement and the Green Left Alliance relaunched the proposal, which was scuttled a few months ago in Parliament by the majority. “The minimum wage proposal is not dead – said the deputies present – let’s start again with a popular initiative law which says that below 9 euros is not work but exploitation”. “The collection of signatures will start soon”, announces Giuseppe Conte. While Nicola Fratoianni promises that “this battle of civilization to raise the salaries of Italian men and women will continue in the streets”.
IN 2025 BONUS 100 EURO, THEN TAXATION THIRTEENTHIMES
The 100 euro bonus for incomes under 28 thousand euros “is a temporary measure, our objective is the tax relief of thirteenth wages”. The clarification comes from Deputy Minister of Economy Maurizio Leo.
