ROME – Nothing to do for Angelina Mango at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo. The singer from Salento, one of the favourites, came seventh in the final ranking. The first place on the podium was won by Nemo for Switzerland with ‘The Code’, which for the third time after Lys Assia and Celine Dion, brought the crystal microphone back to the federal state. Followed by Croatia with ‘Baby Lasagna’ and Ukraine with the duo Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil in third place.
Still very strong protests for Israel during the performance at the Malmo Arena and against the jury during the voting. Eden Golan’s performance was almost completely ‘covered’ by boos and the audience shouting “free Palestine”.
the booing of Israel (Eden Golan) can also be clearly heard on TV.. .

According to the general ranking, Israel came fifth and fifteen countries gave it the maximum score (12 points), through televoting. Inside the event, however, things did not go as well and some spokesmen for the various juries withdrew in protest, recalling that there is a genocide underway.
Despite the final outcome, Angelina Mango’s performance remains one of the most appreciated of the contest. Many Italian artists such as Marco Mengoni, Damiano David of Maneskin, Fiorello, Amadeus, Adriano Celentano and Laura Pausini cheered for Pino Mango’s daughter.
Angelina’s color combination was also highly appreciated on social media, as during the presentation she was dressed in total black with the Italian flag and was very reminiscent of the Palestinian one.
